Afghanistan has, for centuries, been a country of merchants — a fulcrum of trade between South Asia, the Persianate world, and Central Asia. Yet for most of the modern era, the country has been narrated through a single, narrow lens. Capital has often arrived without context; counsel has often been offered without consequence.

Al-Qamar Al-Mounir was established to offer something different: a house that is unambiguously of Kabul, but conversant in the standards of London, Dubai and Qatar. We are local in our relationships and global in our discipline. We deploy capital where we have conviction, structure trade where we have advantage, and decline both where we do not.

Our partners maintain a long view. We accept a small, deliberate number of engagements each year — and treat each as an act of stewardship rather than transaction.
